White Cap Raises Over $23,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Golf Tournament

On July 9, our White Cap Stockton, CA branch hosted their annual fundraising golf tournament for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

With the support of our participants, White Cap raised more than $23,000 for St. Jude!

Over 100 golf enthusiasts and dozens of spectators across California gathered at Swenson Park Golf Course located in the San Joaquin Valley to raise money for St. Jude. In addition to playing golf, participants of the event enjoyed food and beverages and participated in a silent auction, fundraising raffles, and games.

“We’re extremely grateful to everyone who turned out to support this worthwhile event,” said Art Parco, White Cap Branch Manager in Stockton. “We could not have done it without the support of the community and our generous sponsors. We are thrilled we can donate the proceeds to St. Jude and help take financial worry off the minds of their young patients and families.”

A special thank you to Laurie Featherlin, Senior Administrative Assistant, who plays an integral role in planning this event every year and making it so successful!

Since opening its doors more than 50 years ago, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has changed the way the world treats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Not only do the children receiving care at the hospital benefit, but thousands more are saved worldwide through St. Jude research discoveries. Families of St. Jude never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Thank you to everyone that joined the event for raising a significant amount of money in support of St. Jude! White Cap is thrilled to continue hosting and participating in many fundraising events for St. Jude throughout the rest of the year, including the annual St. Jude Walk/Run every September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
