White Cap Golf Tournament Raises $28,500 for Shepherd’s Men

On November 5, 2022, the 7th Annual Shepherd’s Men Charity & Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament presented by White Cap Melbourne was held at the Baytree National Golf links in Melbourne, FL.

Shepherd’s Men is an Atlanta-based organization of veterans and veteran supporters that raise awareness and funds for SHARE Military Initiative (SHARE). SHARE treats veterans with traumatic brain injuries and mental health concerns like PTSD.

During the annual golf tournament, vendors, customers, and White Cap associates golfed and participated in a silent auction and raffles that raised funds contributed to Shepherd’s Men’s mission of supporting veterans and their families. With the success of the event, White Cap raised $28,500!

Justin Defibaugh, U.S. Army 3rd Division Special Forces and recent SHARE graduate spoke to the group about the SHARE program and how it saved his life and that of hundreds of others who have been through the program since its inception. Travis Ellis, co-founder of Shepherd’s Men also spoke to the group about the mission of SHARE and Shepherd’s Men and what this tournament has meant to the program and the clients over the years.

“White Cap is proud to support such an impactful organization and it’s amazing to see our associates, customers, vendors and volunteers all come together for such a great cause,” stated Mason Howell, White Cap Melbourne Branch Manager.

After seven years of hosting this event, White Cap has raised over $127,000 for Shepherd’s Men!
